Difficult really to know with so much time gone past whether or not it's a sacrifice.
But what you said really struck me, the idea that if you have to have a rule so many times saying don't sacrifice people, that obviously there must have been people who were sacrificing people.
Maybe because this was a border
And maybe culture is mixed a little bit.
Maybe this was an influence of another culture.
Hard to tell.
How do you piece that together as an archaeologist?
