Does it matter who owns the technology as long as it scales?
They're not doing anything- You called it net zero oil to produce what it once called net zero oil.
Yes, just on the subject of this phrase net zero oil, obviously Occidental are not here to give their side of the story.
But on this subject, this is what it says on their website.
It says, we aim to remove an amount of CO2 equivalent to that emitted during the production and consumption of our products.
Alongside our plans to reduce our operational emissions, this can result in net zero oil and gas, which can then be used to produce lower carbon fuels and other essential materials, all with a lower carbon footprint.
And he goes on to talk about it as a critical bridge in the transition to a low-carbon economy.
