Um and it's like, well, yeah, I've been doing not only do I know how to cope, I I know all this stuff, but I've also been working out since I was sixteen.
And so um that's something that I try to instill in in all of my kids and and their parents as well.
You know, there is absolutely no data behind any of that and it's incredibly frustrating from my perspective because I would love to answer that question for you.
And so that is one of the reasons why I set up my class the way that I've set up, of course, we're
We're not having that class right now, but I ran it for about nine months.
And what I wanted to see was I wanted to answer that exact question.
Can I just have
this child come in and let's say we're going to jump on the rower and we row for four minutes and you hit that max uh heart rate twice.
And what if we just said, okay, go home and see what happens?
Um, of course we didn't do that.
Uh we let them stay for the rest of the class.
But I wanted to see if depending on how many times they hit a max heart rate throughout that whole class, what does that look like for when they go home?
And ultimately the the question I'm trying to answer is in school, if we have a child that's completely unfocused, can the teacher just say, Hey, let's step out of the hallway.
I want you to go sprint down the hallway and sprint all the way back to me and then come back inside.
And will that give them that same level of focus and attention?
Unfortunately, this pandemic hit and we have a lot of great feedback from parents about sort of what I said of of homework's a little bit easier, they're a little bit more focused, they're much more agreeable to go to bed and uh fall and stay asleep.
And overall temperament is good.
But in terms of testing that question about running in the hallways at school, uh we just weren't able to test that.
Yeah.
So females are I think they have the better deal and they just have to hit like sixty to seventy percent of a max heart rate.
