I mean, contrast it with the almost complete absence of the Europe in the ongoing conversation.
Iran, what is happening in Iran is quite telling and similar to the coalition willing, which is like a framework outside of NATO and outside of the EU framework.
So I think the NATO will have a future, but the NATO is not the yesterday's NATO.
It has to be like, you know, adjusted present and adjusted tomorrow and accept the reality that the US role, even the US doesn't withdraw, it will be downsized and it will be redefined.

In a sense, the Ankara summit should be a graduation ceremony for Europeans to be in charge of their security destiny and to be centre of gravity for its wider neighborhood and a formidable pole in an emerging multipolar world.
I think I mean the NATO allies went to Ankara with not only transatlantic device but also with the intra European device.
One source of the transatlantic device was uh the question of a neighborhood and the wars.
The European allies were unhappy by what they see, the prospect of the US abandonment of Ukraine and the Trump was unhappy what they saw at the European lack of support for the US war US and Israeli war effort against Iran.
And I think the Iran
Further contributed into the Trump's discontent with NATO and probably into some of the calculation in the US that actually the European allies are not there when we need them for our own wars.
The Europe needs us for their own war.
So now the idea that Ukraine is becoming more of a European war, whereas the Iran was the US wars, and the both sides, there was a mutual sense of disappointment there, was further uh undermining.
the trust and the relationship between the both sides.
I think that four things will be quite uh crucial.
One of them, I mean, in any scenario in which the US either has radically downsized or withdraw, whatever scenario we're thinking that means the European security has to be European.
But the question is how, what do we mean by European?
And I think that's whether we need, like, you know, going through the EU or going through the wider European framework.
