It's not like all that comes up in a day.
So again, it's a long-term play.
And I think you can argue from the administration perspective, it shows the commitment to bringing more fossil fuel production online in this hemisphere that's bound.
for American markets, all that can be true.
But
As terms of like lowering gas prices or the political implications, I think this is more about getting caught trying than it is about, you know, actively affecting what you or I pay to fill up our cars.
I don't know that I see it as an attention shift, but I think it is related in a couple of ways.
I mean, number one, the idea of trying to bring more oil into the marketplace from what the US hopes will be a stable partner in this hemisphere, closer to home, all that makes a certain amount of sense.
It's a good positive message to say, like, look, we're gonna have all this available from a country who we think can be our friend.
So I do think there's like that positive story there.
Venezuela is kind of like the global uh uh excursion, to borrow the president's word, that worked better in his view, right?
We were in and out, we got Maduro in a day.
Look at this great new partnership we have there.
He wanted what happened in Iran to look more like what happened in Venezuela, and he didn't get it.
Yeah.
But this is, I think, a further extension of the way he'd like to see this run.
And President Trump has been talking about
About seizing oil from America's enemies or the places in which America involves itself for decades.
So this is the completion, in a manner, of a long-held goal of his.
And so as it erates to Iran, I think this is probably something they should pay close attention to in Tehran and probably are paying close attention to in Tehran: of like, all right, this is how the president sees these end games.
