I remember being in January in I think two thousand thirteen and it was minus fifteen degrees and they cut off the gas to the town and it was bloody freezing.
So they've long promoted a pipeline coming from Croatia into Bosnia called the Southern Interconnect and that was going to be run by the, you know, the national gas company of BIH.

the Bosnian Parliament under great pressure from the American and I'd say the Trump administration, in which they were going to not only build the pipeline privately, but they were also going to give the contract without any tender process to two of Trump's close allies.
One is Jesse Binnell.
He's been a key attorney for Trump.
And he defended him in the contested presidential election of twenty twenty.
And the other guy in that organization is Joe Flynn.
You may remember uh General Michael Flynn, who was a national security advisor.
Yeah.
So they set up a company literally a year ago called AAFS Infrastructure.
If you go and look at the website, it looks like a joke.
It's AI slop, black with white text, eagles everywhere, no previous.
projects, no pra profiles of any experts, no real content of any kind, and they have been given now by the Bosnian government through a law, this one billion pound dollar euro, I suppose, project to uh connect this pipeline.
Well, y this is this is I suppose the one of the very positive things about joining the European Union.
The EU ambassador to to Bosnia, he's called Luigi Sureka.
He wrote them uh an official letter and it was a warning, it was a demarche saying, Look,
If you build this, you're putting all of the one billion euros that we want to give you for the development of your country to enter the EU.
