I think we had an average list age of maybe 19, 20 when I first got there.
Something I would have changed is I think we should have maybe got some more senior players just around the group.
Obviously, the majority were that age.
And I think if you're able to get players that have been in the system a long time that understand the game, you know, it can really help fast track the younger players' development.
No doubt they're going to get some very high draft picks.
They're going to get some talented kids to the club.
I think GWS did that.
They would have got 10 or 15 players that were late 20s, had been in the game a long time.
Yeah, absolutely.
And most of us are visual learners, you know.
So we learn by watching the way that people go about things.
And, you know, at a footy club, it's the way players train.
Again, you know, I talk about the basics and the fundamentals.
You know, how do these players that have been in the game a long time, you know,
Win a contested ball, you know, what are their running patterns?
And you watch, I know I learned a lot from that when I first got to the Geelong Football Club, was just watching some of the better players and the way they went about things.
And so again, you know, if I had my time again, that's one thing that I would have changed.
But, you know, it's going to take time.
It's understanding that as well.
You know, you can get talented kids into the system, but it is going to take time where, you know, they play a lot of games together.
