And then you've obviously got players like, you know, Cameron Ling or Matty Scarlett that were probably the best defenders in the team.
He didn't expect all players, you know, to necessarily defend at their level.
And I think that's really important because each individual brings different strengths to the group.
And if you can help get the best out of, you know, each player within the football club, then it's going to go a long way to helping you have success.
Yeah, I mean, I think finals football and, you know, even playing in grand finals, those small contests, small movements mean so much in a game.
And you mentioned the 2009 Toad Poke.
You know, I've spoken about this a lot.
And it does depend on who you ask, Dil, because I've heard Matty Scarlett's version of the story and he still tells me to this day that he could have kicked the ball up to himself.
I just ran in and kicked the goal.
But being the selfless player that he is, I'll look after guys.
But I think back to that and the decision that I made at that time.
And I'm a big believer that every decision you make out on the field should be a calculated decision.
But I don't think there's ever a –
you know, kind of 10 out of 10 when you make the decision to defend and 10 out of 10 when you make the decision to attack.
You make decisions based on what's going on around you.
And at that time, I thought we'd structured up quite well down back.
And so I actually made a decision to leave the stoppage early and go to the middle of the ground.
Lucky enough, I think St Kilda kicked the ball forward.
We had Darren Milburn loose back.
