Now if you take the Renault solution which are the Alpine solution, not Renault, because it used to be Renault but it's now Alpine they just drop their flap down uh the trailing edge
of it downwards.
So in other words they reduced the angle of the rear wing, you know, quite dramatically.
But again, those two the combination of those two will still mean that the rear wing is is creating as a as an element, as a package is creating some some downforce.
On the ID I believe they still pivot it around the middle.
So they open up a bit and they drop it down a bit.
I don't think they've changed.
Um and again that will be the same thing.
It's like opening up a big slot gap that the rear wing assembly will still create some down force.
Now if you go on to the Ferrari or the McLaren or the Red Bull, by flipping the flaps upside down and in theory backwards, um which is what they do, you are n negating any down force that the flaps would make.
You're actually creating lift.
With the flap assembly.
There will still be a slight amount of downforce from the main plane, but that will be counteracted by the lift of the flaps.
So in theory, you'll have a less less rear load from the rear wing when it's open, and less drag when the r from the rear wing when it's open.
Not by a significant amount, but by probably enough for you to pursue.
But the big problem for me with that is that you have got the the flow is going the other direction on the on the f on the underneath of the flap because it's it's basically once upside down.
It's trailing edge is leading and it's it's leading edge is the trailing edge.
So the the the flow on that flap is going the opposite direction.
And when you close the c when you shut the wing down, basically that flow direction has to change.
On the typical DRS
