But what we're saying is what he's saying, I think, now is that they don't they're not able to react with development stuff to the fact that they're getting caught immediately.

Um to you know to reduce the weight of the cars, which is always a great thing to do, but giving up floor area.
You know, it's one of those sort of things that you you really sort of don't have to be a brain surgeon to work out that y d your your vo your your floor, the the pressure underneath the car is multiplied by the floor area.
And if you've got a lower pressure underneath the car, no matter what your floor area is, the bigger you make it, if you can keep that lower pressure
the more downforce the car will have.
So it's not you know, it's not brain surge and stuff to work out that a bigger floor is a good thing to have.
But it depends on on a lot of things if you can actually increase the velocity of the flow on the under floor by it being shorter.
as well.
So you ca if you can make it go faster, it'll give you more down force.
If you make it bigger, the trend is that it goes slower, so uh you have to lose down force.
So you've got to be very careful.
So it's a it's a fine line between uh being able to increase the speed of the flow underneath between the gr the under floor and the ground as opposed to having a bigger surface area.
It's but it's just maths.
It's just it's just a matter of working out your your pressures.
volume, your area, and just seeing how much it it's affected by cheating the length of the floor, I suppose you might call it, to simulate a longer floor.
And obviously C F D is pretty good at that to be honest.
It's uh it's ideal for just checking those two things, you know, you can and C F D can sort of s slice the car down the middle, add six inches into it or whatever you like to call it, fifteen centimetres or hundred and
fifty millimeters um and see if the if the float the flow velocity on the underfloor changes.
