So if they screwed up on that with McLaren at the beginning of the year, I think that's a bit naive to be honest.

They should have got that right.

And I know it might add more weight to the car, but again the challenge then is to get rid of the weight from the car.

It's not the fact that you want to have a shorter floor to get rid of the weight of the car and throw away performance.

So, you know, you gotta make sure you y you get the right challenge.

And but that's the same for everybody.

You know, everybody makes their choices of what they're gonna follow and and and and how the the route they're gonna take.

And as I say, I think Mercedes did the best job to start the season with.

Some of the others have now more or less caught up, but not every circuit.

Yeah, the high rate car and uh on on paper the high rate car is the way to go because basically it increases your diffuser area.

I mean the diffuser area is defined from the reference plane of the car, the size of it, the height of it, the width of it is going to be the same no matter what rake you run.

But the height of it it gets higher basically to the ground if you run more rake.

But also so does the sides of the car, the floor.

So it's the leakage.

And the the the most important thing is that the f the flow that goes into the central section of the floor and I'm talking about the central sort of third of the under floor is the flow that the diffuser works on.

Those those side bits, the barge boards and and the the the foot plate I think they call it, uh and behind the front tires are great for managing the um the wake coming off the tire, but they're also

So good for outwash and to pull that flow that's in that front corner outwards to allow the diffuser to really work on the front on the flow that's coming into that central third of the underfloor.

And that's what the diffuser wants.

But if if the diffuse that if the diffuser is then pulling air in down the side of the floor, you know, from halfway down, let's say in front of the rear tire, because the rear tire is a big blockage, the big you know system.
