You know, they fought hard for the championship right to the to the last race of twenty twenty five.

So they brought a car that was a baseline car that they could get up and run them with these new regulations, um, get to work get to know how to use the power unit and the uh the harvesting and the deployment, etcetera, etcetera Knowing that they were going to develop the car as time went by.

So they they they knew they were going to dig into their their cost cap quite well in the first half of the season.

At least.

So they had planned for that.

They planned from that for that from the beginning.

And the important thing there is that they were able to recognise their deficit, I suppose you might call it, with the car running on track with the new regulations, to recognise which direction they needed to take.

And they were also able to see what the others were up to as far as the direction they'd taken.

It's a twofold situation.

If you're doing it blindly back at the factory before the car ever t touches the ground, um and you put all your expertise and and a lot of your money into that package and it doesn't work, you still have to start and do it again.

Mercedes were not lucky.

Mercedes were very well were very well organized during the the the build to this new regulation and they come out with a car that was a rocket ship.

But they've got because

been caught now by McLaren for sure Ferrari on occasions.

So I don't think they can stand up and say, look, we haven't got the money within the budget cap.

They need to learn how to work within the budget cap.

And they they they're they're lacking that in reality.

So these next two races, uh next next couple of races at uh in Monza and Azerbaijan, you know, they're about straight line speed, um big braking

rear end stability.
