Imagine driving down a street in the neighborhood where you grew up.
You know it well, except this time, it's unrecognizable.
Six-story-high transformers are bent and twisted.
Trees have no branches.
And many homes are gone.
All that's left of them are empty concrete slabs on the ground.
That's how my guest, writer and journalist Holly Bailey, found the town of Moore, Oklahoma, on May 21, 2013.
She went back there the day after an EF-5 tornado devastated the community.
The tornado killed 24 people, 10 of them children.
As a journalist, Holly had covered war zones as a White House pool reporter and also the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
But this time, she turned her reporting closer to home.
Holly reported on the deadly Moore tornado and wrote about it in her book, The Mercy of the Sky, The Story of a Tornado.

So Holly, you went to school in Moore, a few miles from Oklahoma City where you lived.
What are your memories of going to school there long before the tornado hit?
