And as I said, we're all going to learn an awful lot about the last nine games in a very, very different situation.
Well, it is.
I mean, the good thing for us is that our record is actually probably a lot better against the top sides than it is against the bottom sides.
We're certainly not in any way looking at the position some of those teams are in and thinking that there's any better an opportunity than there would if we were playing the top nine teams in the league.
So, you know, we're a pretty humble group.
And also, I think that, you know, where teams are in the league or where they were in the league, you know, what form they were in,
is irrelevant you know it's three months ago you know i think playing any team in a division is going to be an equal challenge and some teams are going to cope a lot better than than other teams you know it's quite evident so so it'd be really interesting to see how it goes but yeah we'll certainly take it one game at a time
Yeah, I think the first thing, the fact you had him in your team, Hinchy, shows your football knowledge is absolutely excellent.
It's the first time for everything.
Which I knew when I played with you all those years ago at Everton, when you used to cross them in and I used to miss them.
So I think, yeah, Jed's been sort of synonymous with a lot of the players at the club where you always feel as though there's some good individuals there.
um you know there's a real team spirit but but actually playing different formations so i've tried to give jed a little bit more license i just felt as though someone with his ability you know if we can avoid him having to track back all the time if we can avoid him constantly having to chase attacking fullbacks and just give him a little bit more license to go and do his bit in the final third then then we'll see a little bit more consistency out of him and
And we've certainly done that.
He's also played in the 5-2-3 formation where, you know, in that front three, you can have a lot of license and really just trying to find the strengths of the players and how can we challenge them in different ways to maybe get some different performances, you know, but certainly I've said it before that Neil left a very, very strong group.
And I'm certainly the benefactor of that.
Yeah, absolutely.
I think they're the things that you're trying to sort of preempt and you're trying to presuppose.
But, you know, the likes of some teams like, you know, like a Derby and I've done it as Derby manager coming to Millwall where you don't really look forward to coming to the den.
You know, the dressing rooms are tight.
You know that sometimes a pitch maybe is not going to be as good as it could be.
