Day we saw you know UK uh bond markets outperform, i.e., there was a five or six basis point fall in UK uh yields, whereas we didn't see actually other other jurisdictions were up uh a basis point or two.
That's all going to turn around when markets open up tomorrow because of what we learned from the Fed because the guilt market was shut uh when we got that news from uh from uh Kevin Walsh.
Um so you know, but I I think the point stick.
The UK badly prepared for you know uh uh energy price rises and therefore if we're going the other way uh then then then then it it it it stands to benefit most.
So I think again UK uh bond markets ought to outperform tomorrow, even though there's some catching up going to do.
What does it mean to the main?
Yeah, I was gonna say presumably it just reinforces the case for a whole, doesn't it?
Well it absolutely does.
I mean in the market I know
Is going for a seven two on the vote, uh, you you'd certainly say that's eight one, maybe even nine nil.
I'm not sure, Hugh Pill, the chief economist, because he's he he's the guy that descended last time or wanted to hike rates.
He he's got structural reasons for that.
I'm not sure what we heard today will be enough for him, but there's certainly a chance that it may be, and we might get a nine nil uh.
Yeah.
It it is coming down the back of this, but as I say, now now we're gonna have to price in to what extent with you know obviously the US is is it th this is about the US what we learn today from the Fed.
It shouldn't really affect uh the UK, but uh all markets will get caught up in this move if we start repricing
Yeah.
Uh it is.
I mean we're the thing we're looking at for the moment is we've had a big drop over the last year in wages.
Is it now about time after such big falls to say we stabilise a little bit?
