really think breaking it down into those components of what's important to you and then re rejigging it because it's not always going to be the same I always think and Kate and I always say like things come in phases things come in waves and you don't want to be rigid with this is my routine in January and then in May being like oh doesn't work for me no you're like okay you just give up we just give up we're not giving up around here if you're a
We want you to just audit, have a conversation with yourself about what you've done well so far, what you can do better, and make a plan to get there.
Yeah, I think on that theme as well, I really like to think of having higher standards, which we speak about quite a lot, but it's really important, especially when it comes to things are not working at the moment for you.
It's like, where are you saying that you want this big thing, but your standards are not matching that?
Yeah.
And I think that is something that we need to be able to have a conversation with ourselves about because if we're in like a delusional state where we're like, I'm doing everything, but it's not working in my favor.
It's like, are you really?
Because I myself have been like wanting to, you know, grow my business and do things and do that.
And it's like, okay, where is my time being dedicated?
Am I spending too much time on social media?
am I not being as organized as I could?
And when you actually have an honest conversation and look at those things, there will always be something that is a learnable, teachable lesson that will allow you to get better and have those higher standards.
And with those daily tasks, like I'm such a big person for the fact that you need to have long-term vision because when January comes around and you've got these big goals, it's like,
you need to be able to understand that that spark of motivation is what builds the momentum, but your daily tasks, habits, and that consistency are what allows you to stick at that goal for long enough for it to happen.
So really, we always get asked, like, how are you so motivated?
All of the things that Kate and I do, I don't think have that much to do with motivation.
Like, no, we're not thinking about motivation as like, okay, when I feel motivated, then I'll do the thing.
I think it's the other way around.
We do things and then we are like feeling like, fuck yeah.
Because we start to get the result.
