Thank you for being at the wheel because actually at four and six, I need to know that you're going to let me know what works for you and doesn't work for you.
I need to know that you'll stop me from being a bit annoying because actually they can sense that they're being a bit annoying and what they're asking for is the boundary.
That's my passion.
This mum was like within two days, every time she feeds, kids are just playing happily.
Everything has resolved and it's almost made them feel more loved, more safe.
Whereas her fear was, it will ruin my attachment.
I don't want a bad relationship with my kids like the one I have with my mum.
And yet, can you see how it's the opposite?
When we're able to say, I love you to the moon and back.
That doesn't work for me.
That's kind.
That's a good relationship.
So that's what I want to bring to parents in the book.
Yeah, look, I think kids are sort of seeking us out constantly and seeking the answer to am I loved, am I safe?
And actually in that moment they're seeking the answer to am I safe?
Are you going to stop me when I'm doing something that's actually I can see is making you uncomfortable?
And I think we go, I've got you.
I'm going to stop you from doing that even though you can't.
Yeah.
