You know, some remarkable people we met and engaged with throughout.
And interestingly now, I'm talking to families of people who disappeared
join the War of Independence, the Civil War period.
And they too want, you know, albeit it's 100 years or more ago, they too want their families, their family, loved ones, returned to them.
So I think that's a big ask of the government and officialdom.
at the moment, you know, what's going to happen about that.
Well, forensic archaeology didn't exist in 1980s when we were doing the Moors stuff.
And it's developed over the years since.
And I'm quite thrilled by the fact that I was involved in that in some small way.
But the one...
The one incident that I will never forget was working on the saddle with more cases, the missing cases or outstanding cases.
And somehow or other, I contacted a professor at the Smithsonian in the States who was an archaeologist.
And I can always remember he said, so what are you doing?
I said, well, we're sitting or kneeling on pallets and we're using pointing trowels to... And he said, what?
He said, you're going to be doing that for the next 20 years.
Mm-hmm.
And I said, yeah, but that's how we've been taught.
We had this sort of crash course on traditional archaea, conventional archaeology, if you want.
And he came across.
He came over.
