And um and and the uh GB and I has some guys who grew up here and and played college golf here, so they all the talk of the weather and and the the favoritism, I think that's I think that was a bunch of nonsense and why the the captains just kept saying this is gonna be really close.

Uh and they were they were certainly not wrong about that.

Uh no it doesn't.

And uh, you know, when I saw and we can we can discuss this if you'd like in your uh referral to the uh PGA Tours new concept is uh badass, I saw many people going, look, this is what we're gonna have on the PGA Tour in twenty twenty eight.

First of all, it's just a bad take on many levels.

But number one being uh there's no team component and the team thing, of course, is just uh uh uh uh as we know, foursomes is such an excruciating format in terms of uh needing to have a good bond with your partner and the guilt that comes with a bad shot and and everything all those layers and um

The the number of birdies made

Uh now the weather was very benign Saturday, but again, I don't care if it's benign.

There's still the pressure the first day, the nerves, the uh the dynamics of a match with in between partners and then a against two other people.

It's just astounding the number of birdies that were made.

I I just couldn't believe looking at the scorecard uh what they were doing.

And yeah, the course was in magnificent shape, so the greens rolled well.

But but the one of the things, Andy, that I noticed walking around is is the greens are all very different.

It's not intentional and and thank God they don't try to

make them all the same.

But it's just the the little micro climates on the property affect them all differently.

And I I was really impressed with how well both teams appear to acknowledge that certain greens like number eight is much slower.

It gets a lot of salt and it's it's treated a little bit differently.
