And then at 6K to go, suddenly the gap, we couldn't take 10 seconds out of them for 30, 40K.

So we think, okay, the motorbike got out of the way.

And then we just went like, fuck, is that going to play that gap?

We're going to keep this breakaway under a minute the whole day.

And so it ends up in this crazy arm wrestle where like,

sprint teams are racing basically a guy on a motorbike and the guy behind.

It's not really talked about.

It's something that's sort of evolving and rearing its head in the last, let's say, this season.

But it's definitely influencing tactics.

Or what you'll see is guys who are in a group of four or five trying to be the first to attack the breakaway so that they're solo.

So then the motorbike, instead of being behind them, will be in front of them.

Right.

Again, a nuanced thing.

I mean, we call it a sticky bottle.

So you're getting a bottle from the car and you hold on a bit long.

Yeah, yeah.

But you do see if they take the piss of it, they get a fine or they get a time penalty.

But when you see that really bad is when you've got like a sprinter in the mountains who's been dropped early

And he's in all sorts of trouble and he's out the ass.
