I need to be doing more of the harder news stories.

I need to be breaking stories.

And then I actually realised that a lot of the guys who were doing that, they're so talented at that, but they couldn't do, you know, the stories that I was doing, crying with 100-year-olds.

You know, like they can't, they weren't able to kind of unlock that presenter mode or that journo mode, whereas I feel like the connection that I have with people is what set me apart and as soon as I've accepted that, that's when everything took off.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

It's a challenge and I'm still figuring it out.

And I'm having, like, I'm talking to...

Every single person I can in the newsroom about that.

Like, I love talking to my makeup artists.

They're just the best.

I love talking to my makeup artists and just being like, so how chatty do you reckon I can make this?

You know, and I think that, you know, Ten has been such a huge backer of me and them choosing me to be the face of their weekend news, national broadcast as well.

Like it's not lost on me how big that is and how big of an opportunity that is.

But also it's also not lost on me that they've picked me for a reason.

So they obviously like what I'm doing.

They like what I bring.

They like how I deliver that news.

And so why turn away from it?

I'm still in the process of having conversations with people and trying to empower them to kind of come with me on the journey.

and don't get me wrong, there are definitely stories and definitely awful, awful, awful reports that you have to, you know, things that you have to report on that have to be done in a certain way and that have to be, you know, much, much that harder vibe.
