There wasn't anywhere for me to hear the sports conversations that I wanted to in the voices I wanted to listen to.
It was as simple as that.
I remember I came up with the idea, one of my best friends, Abby Jelmy, she is actual human sunshine.
And we have been friends for, I did the maths the other day, I think it's now 11 or 12 years.
But I first pitched the podcast like five years ago, we're into our fourth season.
And I remember at the time just being like, there isn't
Jelmi and I love talking about sport.
Like we, sport was what brought us together.
We met at Fox Sports News.
Like we genuinely adore it.
However.
we also have a lot of niches and we adore the Met Gala just as much and we will watch the Met Gala like we are watching the Rugby League Grand Final.
And in my mind, those things don't need to be mutually exclusive.
So there was just ways that I wanted to talk about sport that Jelmi and I would talk about in our group chat or on the phone that I wasn't hearing anywhere else.
And I was like, gal.
When we meet up for coffee and like, you know, we're talking about, I don't know, Nick Dacos' latest hairstyle.
I just know it goes back to a taste thing.
I know that there are predominantly women, but there are fans out there, the sports fans out there who would also want to be having conversations like this.
And there isn't an outlet for them to do that.
And there isn't an outlet for them to come along the ride.
