They've gone into the back of somebody or, you know, worse than after knocking somebody down or somebody on a bicycle.

And we often see road deaths where...

And I've seen them personally where the drivers have been prosecuted because there was evidence to say that they were on their mobile phone or that, you know, they were doing something else in the car that they shouldn't have been doing, you know.

And obviously drinking drugs have a huge part to play in it.

Hardness.

Tiredness, yeah, absolutely.

I think it's a kind of a secret killer.

You know, we have accidents all of the time where the witness will say that the car just veered off the road and then you will speak to the driver and they'll say they nodded off, you know.

They do, yeah.

And, you know, sometimes people are killed as a result of that.

Yeah, I mean, look, safety is paramount.

You know, if it's not safe to get out of your vehicle, don't get out.

You know, it obviously depends on the type of road that it's on.

Is traffic completely stopped?

Is traffic still moving?

But safety, like they are extremely dangerous scenes.

As I said, oil, glass, moving traffic.

You just don't know what you're going to come across.

But, you know, certainly take out the phone, you know, once you're stopped safely, ring 99112.

And as you're talking to the emergency services, they can advise you on what they'd like you to do as well, because they might ask for more information about what's happening.
