But first of all, we've got to talk about the reigning PFA Player of the Year award holder, I guess, Virgil van Dijk.

It's just another colossal season for him, really, isn't it, at the back line for Liverpool?

Yeah, the best.

Wow.

And I guess testament to how good he's been is when he won that PFA award, first defender since John Terry in 2004-05 to win it.

And Paul McGrath was the only other defender who's won it in the Premier League era.

He won it in the first season in.

92 93 so it's not an award brilliant players john was brilliant you know i played against paul mcgrath as well he was phenomenal wow i mean just especially because he was you know a lot of injury problems um but no and exceptional players yeah so not an award that goes to defenders too often okay jamie come on so if you uh if you had your form through the post and you had to put someone's name next to that number one choice who would you go for this season
