Because here's what's really, really true underneath all of it.
Making more money does not change how you manage it.
You typically just do more of the same since your habits, your thoughts, your behaviors, your patterns, none of that changes.
It's still there.
So when you go for a promotion or go after a new position or start a new business and start making money, that doesn't change your habits.
It doesn't change the way you think.
It just changes how much money is coming in.
So do you see where I'm going with this?

And so when you make more, you just do more of the same.
And here's what I really want you to know.
We as humans truly have the best intentions.
We sincerely believe that when we make more money, we're going to save more, that we're going to get out of debt and stay out of debt, that we're going to increase our retirement contributions, that we're going to start investing even outside of our workplace account, or we're going to open up that self-employed investment account so that you can start putting away money
for your future.
We truly believe that that's what we're going to do when more money starts coming in.
And so we tell ourselves, when I make more, I'll do this.
When I make more, I'll do that.
And you do mean it.
You really do.
