So, you know, ideally players would play even their 19-year-old year in the Western League and then go on to school, you know, because really what you're trying to do is not rush off to the American Hockey League like the old days.
Like if you were a signed player, you know, after your 19-year-old, you went right to the American Hockey League, which is a really tough league.
So, you know, going to the NCAA first for a year or two or even three for that matter, you know, it's really good for the kids.
The kids are strong.
They can skate.
The pace is fast.
You get time to train and eat and do all kinds of stuff.
The concept is there's no rush to get there, so don't hurry out of the Western Hockey League and then take your time in NCAA until you're ready.
Well, I mean, obviously, you know, we'll see what actually happens.
But generally speaking, I think the teams are encouraging players to spend some time in the NCAA.
I think we're across the board.
I don't think there's always going to be a player like maybe Braden Kutz that just wants to go play.
So he's not going to go to school.
But I think that generally the teams are going to be encouraging players to be a little bit patient like Terrence Smith.
Dropped it by Anaheim, had a great year.
He's off to Minnesota.
And I think that you're going to see us working together with the teams to allow these kids a little bit longer runway to develop before they get to pro.
He was the captain.
Unfortunately, he missed the last series just because of an injury.
We had to get surgery.
