Like he had a really good year in that in the in the American league last year.
He played, like you said, it's a hard league and he did really well, played all kinds of positions and and it's really nice to see, you know, the Oilers add some use to their lineup 'cause I think that's really good for your team.
Well yeah, it's it's a little different now because there's so many events where all the agents can gather.
In the old days you had to travel.
Like I went to Williams Lake to meet Kerry Price, you know, and you sort of had to jump in your car and you know, I drove to Shonovan to see Braden Coburn, you know.
So uh it's a little easier.
Although we did have Br uh Brendan Gallagher, I've known him since he was three.
Right.
So that's pretty young for recruiting.
I think Johnny Boychuk when he was twelve, so it sort of varied.
It's just sort of when you get introduced to people or how you meet them and it's sort of organic.
We don't really we just sort of are around and we're connecting with our group and then we get we sort of meet the the the families that we should, I guess.
Oh yeah, it's been crazy.
Yeah, with those you mentioned three of our top guys and then we probably had fifteen total make the jump.
I mean started early with U of A guys and you know, we had a a U of S guy, Trevor Wong and like Brett Highland and some of those guys went and then it slowly started to creep down and then they came guns a blazing after the top players.
So yeah, it's uh it's really a change in the marketplace.
It's it's just kept us really busy.
You know, but at the end of the day I mean
it's really good for the players to have options because it was always a little silly.
You get drafted at fourteen and sign a contract and that made you ineligible.
