We're still looking at faces.

But increasingly online, especially if you are a girl or you're a woman, your feed is likely tailored towards these sort of things.

The face is being presented to us as a consumer guide and a disciplinary manual rather than a human repository of disposition and life.

And, you know, I don't think this in and of itself – I don't think individually there's anything –

immoral or wrong about plasticity about changing your looks you know individually these cases are not very interesting to me and not worth you know judging on an individual level whatsoever but it just does seem collectively like that shift has happened that the face is not something that especially if you are socialized as a woman that you're looking at for human information that that you want human information and experience to show on your face

It's really being reconfigured as kind of an object that should stand up under digital surveillance.

There's kind of threads you can get in your forehead to lift.

There's neck lifts.

There's mini lipo lifts.

There's all sorts of stuff.

There's the realm of just constant facial resurfacing with laser and, you know, and all of these things, you know, again, it's like individually whatever, right?

You know, individually let people live.
