Stalin is
Utterly merciless.
He will kill off anyone who he thinks is a challenge to his supreme authority.
And the grudges he bears go way beyond just his inner circle in Moscow surrounding him.
He will kill off anyone who he thinks might could damage him.
And Trotsky has the power to damage Stalin while in exile.
Because Trotsky, remember, loves writing.
He's writing all sorts of stuff.
And he's writing how he views the events of Trotsky.
Took place in the aftermath of the revolution.
And Stalin is not going to come out of this very well.
And Stalin does not want this published, he wants Trotsky silenced.
