The longest I've recorded with flight data and with confirmation from passengers for a shackling is 82 hours.
I've recorded 75 hours, 68 hours, 51 hours.
It's really awful.
For a Mother Jones story I did, I talked to a medical doctor.
She just said, prolonged shackling like this, besides causing excruciating pain,
can cause permanent nerve damage, cuts and bruising, and the risk of blood clots is insane.
One woman I spoke to, Melissa Tran, when she was being deported to Vietnam, she said that every country that they stopped in, the guards allowed them to stand up for one minute.
