The ability to open and shut our public beach, Boca Chica Beach.

This is a beach that in the Texas Constitution says shall be free and open to the public.

It is our constitutional right to have access to that beach.

It is being bought in state court right now.

But it is predicted that they will shut down this beach about three months out of the year.

My word.

So, you know, it's those kinds of deals that are raw deals for the people of Texas and only really benefiting these CEOs of global corporations.

My business approach is, look, we say we value our small business owners.

Let's give them a leg up.

So cut sales taxes for our small business owners.

Let's have a tax-free small business Saturday, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, right?

Our small business owners in Texas make below the average for profits for small business centers in this nation, have a harder time getting access to debt.

So

Again, it is a clean slate, a fresh start to build an economy that actually works for Texans, including small business owners who have this bold ambition that we are proud of in Texas to create their own business, provide for their family and create good jobs in our community.

So here's what I think.

Was deregulation a mistake?

I think that there are some pros to deregulation, but definitely we have had big problems when it comes, again, to the corruption question.

I mentioned the issue of letting the gas providers get away with basically price gouging Texans.
