So it's Nürburgring 99 against Japan 2005.
Unlike a lot of our previous ties, I have no idea...
how this one is going to go.
So this is going to be quite exciting.
Matt, kick us off.
Okay, so Nürburgring 99 is 1-0 up.
I don't know which way you two are going to go, so I can't pick one of you to guarantee an equaliser.
Well, like you, Ed, I didn't see this race.
Well, I didn't see any of this race live.
I think I've told this story before.
I must have been at some sort of British F3 race or something like that at the end of 2005.
And I slept through my alarm and turned on the telly in my hotel room.
to sort of park ferme and james allen and martin brundle saying kimmy riken has just won potentially the greatest race of all time and it was years before i saw it uh back in in full i've watched it in full several times since then and it is brilliant these are both brilliant i i have i have no bad feelings at all whichever way this goes i feel like after this epic journey we've been on
Ben, you have the deciding vote to finally give us a World Cup winner and a best race of the V10 era.
That is a lot of power.
You know, you guys were talking about the power I had earlier.
I can't just bring her F97 back at this point.
brilliantly controversial because ed made his little spy gate joke which is kind of a bit niche for our non people who don't follow the second tier of english football in 2026 but obviously this is controversial because really nurburgring 99 should have been knocked out in the quarterfinals yeah it's it snuck its way through thanks to evita winning the whole thing but um very quickly so we've heard ben's thoughts there matt do we have a deserving winner would you say
Ed, if it couldn't be a race from 1993, are you happy with what we got in the end?
I would have gone Nürburgring.
