It doesn't feel very 2026 that the system is still, you have to put your hand up and tell the teacher, otherwise the teacher might not notice that somebody threw a pencil at you in the classroom.

I agree, Connor.
It doesn't sound great for them to be whinging on the radio, but it's kind of it is like the football or soccer thing where if somebody kicks you and you try and stay on your feet, you might not get the free kick.
Whereas if they kick you and you fall over, even if it wasn't enough force for you to fall over, you've drawn the referee's attention to it.
And I feel that F1's led the drivers down that path.
So I don't like it, but I understand why the drivers have ended up in this situation.
There's a big part of me that loves the idea of this.
You know, we often say that there's not enough action or overtaking.
In F1, if you had to battle your way past backmarkers, you would get more action and overtaking.
It would turn the races upside down at times.
So, as I say, there's a part of me that says, yeah, just get rid of it.
Stop making it so easy for the leaders.
They've got the car advantage already.
If they're so much faster than these guys that they're able to lap them before the end of the race, then...
Yeah, the guys should have to work for that overtake as well.
I suspect in modern F1 it's not practical for a couple of reasons.
I think dirty air is such a problem from such a distance behind another car now that you would have some races where somebody running at a reasonable pace would just be able to hold someone up for 10, 15, 20 laps.
And also the spread of the pack in F1
