Yeah, the key part of the question for me is the mention of Mercedes, because I've seen quotes from Alex Wirtz, who said that the reason the Reichen had some unreliability during that season was that Mercedes had all of its focus on trying to make engine parts that worked in Adrian Newey's crazy packaging of the MP4-18.

And they basically stopped.
