In my experience in the courts of DC, if somebody was just convicted of a 20 year maximum series of crimes,

that person is very likely going to be detained pending sentencing if there was enough evidence to detain them pending trial because they were a flight risk or a danger to the community or pose the risk of obstructing justice.

So we'll see what the judge does, but this doesn't sound like it's a done deal that he will continue to be detained pending sentencing or that he may see any more jail time other than time served.
