No, for me in the end, it ended up being uh no too much just regarding um for family and reasons more so than uh a financial thing because it was probably the one that I should have taken.
Would you um you'd you'd reflect on it like that,
Um well I ended up I ended up going up to Hearts and that went south that went sour after six months.
So in in in hindsight, um possibly would've would have taken a chance.
Um obviously playing in Europe again would have been a a big thing for me at at uh an older age at at thirty five, thirty six.
So yeah, but listen, I think there's um
No, it's a it's a tough it's a tough judgment.
It's it's tough to take.
It's obviously there's loads to go into it thinking these younger lads now that's doing it, it's probably a little bit easier for 'em because there's there's no baggage with them.
Um
They're coming and and and I know the difference now is obviously these academies, there's there's English speaking in most academies around Europe.
So um but it's great to see because obviously what's going on with with Brexit in the UK has given our lads a chance then to go and venture out in in other parts of Europe and and hopefully that fruition will come um further down the track for Ireland because they'll experience different coaches, different languages, different cultures um to hopefully be
the best they can be.
Yeah, listen, I think what's what Steven's done um over the last what eight, ten years, uh uh our rovers have been outstanding.

He's he's won everything he's he can do in Ireland.
Um he's obviously got them into Europe.
He's he's obviously uh he he's done things that now Shamrock Roberts will probably never do again.
So I think for his his his next step might have to be to to go somewhere else and experience it.
I think obviously what what Hibbs are trying to do now and and and and obviously open the Scottish Premier League um with Hearts and obviously Celtic and Rangers, I think it'd be
