I know like the general public is like, that's what the farmers voted for.

So long as they keep us siloed, then we will continue to lose with the division.

So we've got to come together, but we got to show how it is that my life impacts your life so that people will actually understand the beauty.

So we can do it.

We just got to work harder and we've got to work consistently.

I will say that I appreciate the community because when you are in D.C.

Whether they understand that, yes, you see me on camera, but you don't understand that I don't go to sleep until the wee hours of the morning because I am always trying to make sure that I am prepared for committee.

Whether they understand that I get that the people that I serve, the people that elected me to Texas 30 have to always be

first and foremost, because that is who elected me.

They are the only people that can decide that I don't go back to DC.

So we're always trying to come up with new programs and making sure that we are keeping them informed and engaged as today is no Kings.

We still have our kids and fishing event that's also taking place today in my district, even though I'm physically not there.

We are always making sure that we are informing them and we are listening to them as I just had my quarterly town hall the other day where it's not just me talking to

my constituents, but it's also me listening to my constituents or the fact that as a freshman Black woman Democrat in the House, the biggest thing that I accomplished my freshman year had nothing to do with Marjorie Taylor Greene, but instead bringing an ARPA-H location, one of only three that had been approved through legislation.

to the only Republican state, but to my district and doing that in a bipartisan way where almost every single Republican in North Texas signed on to get that investment made into my district, which for those that don't understand how big of a deal it was, this is like bringing the CDC to Atlanta.

There are people that have taken the time to understand that I always keep at the forefront the people that elected me to DC.
