I think Ulster, they never really threatened while they had lots of possession and territory.
They just didn't really seem like they were doing a huge amount with it.
And you could just see Munster just absorbing an awful lot of the pressure.
People coming in and coming off from the Munster side.
as well so an awful lot of disruption very early in the in the game for Munster but yeah they just came back and Ulster's tight five just really struggled really really struggled and even in that 20 minute period you were looking at it going if Munster don't capitalize on this it would be a big surprise they were bailing water with the tight five and I think that kind of fundamental building block or fundamental foundation for any team will be around their tight five and
I think Leinster struggled with the type 5 they had and Ulster, for me, definitely, definitely struggled.
You look at, say, the interventions of Tomasa Hearn, you look at Tomasa Hearn and you look at Tyke Byrne.
It was night and day what they were delivering versus the Ulster side.
yeah yeah um but like that's the problem isn't it the squad depth and this has been the criticism of the irish all the irish provinces um over the last four or five seasons is is that quality depth there so we make that observation from an irish perspective where we look at it and go okay well what's the depth chart like but when you go back into the provinces and start looking at depths uh
it really isn't there.
And we see that big fall off.
You know, Leinster probably guilty of it as well in their match in Italy.
Connacht, Ulster.
When the rotation is there, the wild performance variance is quite stark.
Edwin Odogba was a man mountain at the ruck time.
And the clearest thing to me with the difference between why Munster pulled away was...
When he hit rucks, the ball was just available instantly over the gain line.
He was just incredible.
When he hit mauls, likened it to almost the way the French clear out.
He was just incredible.
