But we can't get the ball to them because the attack is pedestrian and the defenses are set.

And then you're losing collisions and passing in contact.

Yeah, it's all of the above.

There isn't an easy fix to the Irish attack.

But simply, you look at the difference between the rucks speed and the number of players in the rucks.

And New Zealand predominantly didn't have to put anybody into the Irish rucks.

So...

When I say predominantly, at various stages they did and that's when Ireland worked good and they got yards and they got quicker balls.

We still struggle with managing the middle third of the field.

We're not comfortable playing in that middle third of the field.

You look at, say, what New Zealand are doing, what France are doing.

They're not prescribing, they're just giving the ball to players and reacting off them.

Whereas we're still playing a structure and it goes back to the simple principle that if the defence doesn't have to put numbers into it or they're able to get set before the attack, the attack is going to win.

And we're still playing an awful lot of rugby like that.

This all feels very negative.

I think that performance result is a fair reflection of where Ireland is.

So he may not like it, but it's not good, it's not bad.

It is a fair reflection of where this Irish rugby team is at the moment.

If you look at the group of players we have, I wouldn't be massively arguing against that.
