A bad thing to be doing is trying to pretend you're something that you're not.
So that is who Ireland are today.
That's okay.
And when we will beat those teams above us on occasions in the next, well, 24 months, but we are, as you've alluded to, we are comfortably the fourth best team in the world.
I think what today showed is we can be competitive against New Zealand and against South Africa and against France and to a certain extent England, depending on how badly they're coached or set up.
And that's always going to be the bar.
It just shows we're a little bit light on players, injury profile.
We need everything and we always have, even when we were the number one team in the world.
You need everything to go your way.
You need a good injury bill.
You need a couple of key players.
Ireland looked like a team that were three or four players short of being really competitive today.
If John Sullivan was here, he would be lauding his effort and how valuable his footwork at the line is.
So the couple of times he just has that little step and go in close quarters, it's so valuable because he's able to take that next step when he gets in and it just gets you over the game line.
But Dan Sheehan was good.
Jack Conan was good.
But Hugo Keenan was excellent again.
Just the ground he covers, you're just like, wow.
You look across the board, it's hard to see it.
Nobody had a howler.
