Um we're by no means
Where we need to be, or we're by no means where we want to be.
We need to be better, we need to be more clinical, we need to be rootless.
And I I just felt there was something missing about us tonight and I didn't quite like us, but uh at the end of the day you're gonna call me a grumpy old man.
Uh just put a smile on my face, we're in the next round of the uh the the cup.
I get all that, I understand all that, but we need to be better.
We have to do what we're scripted to do, we have to do what we're trained to do, we cannot go off script and start.
Playing our own uh our own game and doing our own things on the pitch, and I just felt there was too many that done that tonight, uh, and that causes a lot of uh a lot of problems.
Now, having said that in the first half they had uh was it one shot on go, one and they got a goal from it, which was really really sloppy.
So uh that doesn't happen to us too often, and for us to happen to us tonight, I was really annoyed with it to be honest.
But um look, I'm gonna be probably nipping.
Picking, yes, I get that, I understand that, but uh I I want and I demand better.
Like I said, I said it a few weeks ago, the timing of goals.
The timing of our goal just before half-time was crucial.
We had a little five, ten-minute period just before half-time where Tommy smashed one off the post.
And to get in 2-1 rather than 2-0 was big.
It was probably a turning point mentally.
And our mindset changed a little bit on that goal.
Had we not scored, I would have had a big, big, big job on my hands trying to lift this group.
But the goal was key.
