bigger slice of the showbiz pie than I deserve or that most people get.
I've been able to work in this industry for much longer amount of time than I ever thought I would.
And there have been moments when I thought it was all going to go away and then it didn't.
When I left Channel 4, I went to America and did a series that didn't
you know, it did okay, but it didn't like, so we did one season in America.
And when I came back, I joined the BBC and they didn't quite know what to do with me.
And that would have been, you know, in a typical career, that would have been the moment when my star just waned and, you know, I did a game show, did another game show and then kind of stopped.
And because I was working with my business partner, producer Graham Stewart,
you know, he had a wife and kids.
He needed this train to keep running.
So, yeah, so he really fought for us to get commissions and to get the chat show back onto the BBC and to do that.
And that's how that happened.
Because left to my own devices, I'm sure that wouldn't have
