No, but I read a lot of, I mean, Beverly Cleary was a wonderful writer.
She wrote books called Henry and Ribsy.
I read all, you know, classic children's literature, but I read all the time when I was a teenager.
I went to high school in Ottawa.
I went to two universities in Ottawa.
And I stumbled on these people starting up a small magazine, literally my first week at school.
And I'd always wanted to move to New York.
I wanted to either be a writer or work at a magazine.
12, 13.
I liked writing.
But what triggered that?
Well, partly because I just loved reading.
And I thought, I'd like to have that life.
You know, just be on your own for periods and write something.
And hopefully it would turn out okay.
And anyway, I stumbled across this magazine that these guys were doing.
And so I joined them.
And that was the greatest thing in my life.
Because all of a sudden, I had no idea what we were doing.
I eventually became the editor.
