And Stefan Ishtakir, just the talent too that he has.
He had an opportunity to stay in the Portuguese system.
He chose Canada.
He chose to represent this country where he was born, even though a lot of his footballing education has been in Portugal and his career might continue to be there.
That is a player that said, nope, Canada's where I was born.
Canada's who I want to represent on the international stage.
And he does so with class, and he does so with a ton of hard work and soul.
That it was potentially the one time in our lifetimes we will see Canada win
co-hosting the tournament from the men's national team perspective and the memories along the way the the jackpool plaza and all the tsn hits where you're seeing thousands upon thousands of football supporters gathered to celebrate this game and bemo field in toronto that week now that we can call it that again um the same atmosphere cristiano ronaldo and croatia like the the memories of
Canada welcoming the world to its backyard to play some pretty unbelievable football matches.
And not to mention the fact that Canada ticked off a lot on their list of milestones and objectives, getting the win, the big performances, having a lot of these players become household names, even if it was only for a couple of weeks, they took strides in this tournament.

If a similar situation happened in England or Portugal or Spain with its star player and its coach,
the negative comes with it.
