Well, that's โ Tom O'Neill wrote this book.
It took him 20 years.
And I was his next-door neighbor for that entire time.
And he wrote every single day.
But he kept uncovering more and more information about it.
So he's a perfectionist.
That's the other guy you don't want is the perfectionist.
The worst part is he pitched it.
It started off as a magazine article for Premiere and they paid him to, you know, they gave him three months to write the story.
And then he kept delaying it, delaying it.
It was like the 50th anniversary of the murders, kept delaying it, kept and kept finding more stuff delaying.
This went on for a year and finally they fired him.
But he had the rights to the material.
He took it to a major publisher and they gave him $1.3 million as an advance.
And then over the next 10 years, he kept pushing off, handing it in.
And then they sued him for, like you said, they gave him about half the money.
They sued him for the money back, which he didn't have.
He spent it all.
Sure.
So now he was teaching English as a second language driving an Uber for another 10 years, and then he sold it to another publishing company.
