And you have the lieutenant governor, Pamela Evatt, who was endorsed by President Donald Trump, currently in first place with 28% of the vote, well below the majority needed to win.
No one expected anyone to win a majority of the vote here.
The second place person right now is State Attorney General Alan Wilson.
Also another statewide officeholder.
I think the story so far is that the trailing the pack are the two U.S.
House members, Ralph Norman in fourth place and Nancy Mace in fifth place.
It looks like they're going to be shut out of the race right now with Pamela Evatt and Alan Wilson in the first two spots for that race.

Some other Republican states are trying to redraw lines in light of a U.S.
Supreme Court decision last week that curtails the use of race and redistricting.
The big question will be how much will really all matter in the midterm elections.
The redistricting wars may turn out to be somewhat of a partisan wash at the end of the day.
The Republican government there, at the urging of President Trump, decided to enact new GOP favoring lines in an effort to help defend their very shaky House majority.
Democrats counterattacked, notably in California, but also in Virginia, where, as I noted,
The Democrats had hoped for a four-seat gain in Virginia.
That has now been effectively wiped out.
You certainly ask interesting questions.
