You know, it looked like when Chris was exonerated, it's over.
But it turned out not to be over.
We had to get some laws passed and he had to sue for compensation.

Chris got very involved with passing laws not only here.
I know he went to Oregon.

Several other states went down south, I know, and he would testify at these hearings.
But it was actually a state representative, Doug Ricks, who had heard about Chris's story and called me.
I had been trying to pass a compensation law for, I don't know, 15, 16 years at that point.
