And then part of what happened as a result of this, including having a sitting senator publish an op-ed at the New York Times, which by any measure is something that should be permitted and debated and disagreed with.
But what we're seeing now is almost a complete explosion of the Overton window in its entirety.

You know, Candace Owens is on to tens of millions of followers with Andrew Tate on X, and they're discussing how Jews make matzah with the blood of Christians.
It's like we've completely lost any semblance that we're allowed to have any version of a conversation.
And I think that mirrored civil discourse and disagreement that is fair, that doesn't include ad hominem attacks,
is really important in terms of trying to rebuild the trust that seems very much lost within the public right now.
So I think both of them should go on networks that are considered hostile to their interests or opposed to their interests, and that everybody should figure out a way to have conversations that are legitimate and are nuanced and where they disagree in earnest over things that matter.

Yeah, I mean, look, I think this is I think that if she moves in the direction that she is signaling that she moves, if she makes clear her stance, I think she needs to define her policy issues much more.
I think she needs to meet with members of the press a lot more.
I think she needs to have outreach to key and core communities that have lost faith in American politics in general and to those who have lost faith in the Democratic Party.
I think there's absolutely a course for her to chart.

And if she's willing to draw a line and cut off some of the more insane policies of the far left and move with an optimistic version towards a future under a shared set of American values, which we all know what they are, you know, we can emerge from a stupor and remember that.
