I was taken by surprise of the level of patriotism on display at the Democratic Convention.
And I'll repeat that I think it's naive for somebody to suggest that it's all in elaborately orchestrated ruse that has no meaning whatsoever.
Because we all know if it had turned into the sort of woke Olympics on stage and there was a completely different cast of characters and she'd given a completely different set of messages, that sets her candidacy on a very different course.
It has meaning what she's choosing to do and say.
And if she continues to move and say and back that up and get specific...
I think she's got a real shot at this.
And I think she's got a shot to earn it.
