hope coming out of the convention is i have completely mirrored conversations when i talk to people on the right and the left and i spend my time talking to people all around the political spectrum and for basically any topic the answer is you don't understand the other side's an existential threat the study that you cite is corrupt the experts that you cite are corrupt the news sources that you cite are corrupt and it's sort of this endless grievance cycle where we can't agree on anything
And so what I noticed Vice President Harris doing is starting to articulate a set of shared values under which we can move forward.
I think that it is something that she is moving towards however imperfectly.
I think she needs to put a lot more flesh on the bones of this and make herself more available to the public and the press.
But it was the first time that I felt a sense of this recapture of shared core American values.
America isn't about equality of outcome.
It never has been.
In a lot of ways, it's opposed to freedom.
But if there's justice, if there's injustice there, she's fought for that her whole career.
And how we're going to define that and how we're going to move towards freedom is essential.
Yeah, I think the extent to which she engaged with that authentically and the bench did... Look, Alyssa Slotkin is one of my favorites.
She's running for Senate right now in Michigan.
She gave a great speech.
She's 20 years CIA.
Like the fact that we're showcasing a bench of people who mean this...
That's part of what it is.
And I don't think, look, we've seen it from Democrat.
We've seen Democrats talk kind of loosey goosey about faith or about the military.
We don't believe it.
I thought she had an authentic engagement with it.
